Why are you together?

I was born in a county hospital in 2005 - wrote one of our readers, Tünde. Even before we were born, we filled out a card with names for rooming-in. I was expecting our first baby, but I was hoping that I could only study in rooming because I would have to take care of it at home five days a day. After birth, they were placed in such a room. However, my baby was raised only after the next breastfeeding. Unfortunately, not much time was left for help, so they took my baby. I didn't protest because I was sick. Then I brought it out in the evening, but not at night, so we said we would be together if you could suck a measurable amount. I thought she would be with me the other day, but it didn't, because the infant and because of her cold the baby suite worked in the traditional way. Well then hi - but it still didn't work. We could go home again on Tuesday! It is true that the "breastfeeding manager" who worked on the department on weekdays responded to many of my requests on Monday and made sure that my little one could get breastfeeding and breastfeeding. By this time, I was bitter because I could barely measure (30-40 milliliters) when my breastfeeding time came, my baby was paid (not before the three-year-old breast, not breastfeeding, and gave it to the nurses to give it to me. They woke me up with a painful lace. All this could have been avoided if I had been with me and suckled when he was awake and not when "time" was up.

Letters from the Kecskemét region

In September 2004, we were hiding in the Maternity Extrab. In fact, we received many letters complaining about their discomfort at a certain hospital birth.
The mothers thought that the baby-mom room was very small, they made the newborns very strict, even though they were well fed, and therefore breastfeeding failed. And babies can't stay out at night, so they have to cook from noon to six in the morning without eating or breast milk! Many people also mourn the fact that if they do not get enough help with breastfeeding, they will read out every night how much they have sucked, and if it is too little, they will revile their mothers.
To our surprise, many people knew about the birthplace of the Kecskemét Hospital, including the infants of the Hospital (!), And many more moms shared their experiences there. Therefore, we have decided to send the letters to those who have the opportunity to change it. In November 2005, we invited a childbirth chief to Kecskemét to see personally what a pregnant mother could expect. Although the complaint from the readers' letters was quite straightforward, it is clear from the hospital's own surveys that 92 percent of the women in the ward were hired by doctors and nurses. No formal complaint has ever been received. Workers believe that rooming-in enclosures operate at a rate of over 50 percent, while those operating in the traditional system are much more likely to be accommodated. That is to say, the facts show that mothers do not even require single placement, at least not to the extent that the number of baby rooms should be multiplied.
During our visit, we asked some mothers in the maternity ward why they had just chosen this form of care. Karolina Harkly would love to have her little girl Virg, so when she learned that she could switch to rooming, she also took this opportunity to raise her first child, where she said she was. Múnika Borsosné Pongrбcz asked for a traditional place because it was suggested by her guardian during the term. She was born with a cup, and her sister, too, didn't bother asking herself for rooming because she didn't want to wake up to the baby. We were asked what benefits of romming-in had been mentioned to him in the hospital. "I said a more intimate relationship with the baby. That didn't convince me because I had a very intimate relationship with my first child, even though I wasn't with her at birth." Raffael Arank was not offered rooming-in.
The mothers who had requested accommodation in the rooming-in wardrooms were, without exception, overwhelmed by the decisions, although there was no toilet or shower in the corridor, these rooms could only be visited. traditional health clubs open. An investigation has begun

Wondering what a mother could do if they were to get a paper during pregnancy or after childbirth, and where to go for birth, if this is the largest and most modern institution, she knows the only one where. Although the BNTSZ found a slight lack of hygiene, which mainly characterizes the unhealthy conditions prevailing in the wash basins, it only gave one truth to the complaining mothers: there are very few children in Kecskemét. Among these tangible problems, many of which were initiated by us, the Kecskemét Hospital tried to help in the last year. We've extended the staff by two, so now with a baby and a baby working more help moms.
"It is no longer possible for a mother to struggle with breastfeeding alone," says dr. Gyorgy Godou, chief physician, Department of Obstetrics, Kecskemét Hospital. " With these measures, the head of the birth department wanted to signal that they were trying to streamline their care as they strove for a compromise. The surprising turn, however, came when dr. Attila Kerekes, a neonatologist chief, put forward what the changes consider to be a real obstacle, the April 2004 issue of Health, with minimum room-in conditions. "I do not say no to non-professionals. We are law-abiding people. We must not violate the regulation on rooming-in, and there are conditions that we cannot meet in due course."
Of course, it is difficult to argue with the law, even if it is clear that not all letters of the law are in the rooming-in. As our colleagues have attended many brothels in the past years, we were really amazed at the terms of the regulation. Soon, only the landlord private house came to our mind as an institution that fulfills these expectations. We have therefore begun further investigations. How is it possible that the precepts of the decree essentially impede the enactment of the Health Law, which states that the mother and the newborn have the right to be together? How is it possible that the minimum conditions are not met while the National Board for Breastfeeding and the National Infant and Child Health Program are among the top goals for Baby Friendly? Part of the conditions in baby-friendly hospitals is to enforce the twenty-plus-room room-in.

The BNTSZ sets out the terms

According to Dr. Ilona Tasбry, Head of the Department of Communication at the BTSZ, hospitals can be exempted from certain conditions under specific conditions, but only if the head of the Department of Obstetrics has given her permission. This can only be obtained temporarily, and especially when space is a problem. After all, most Hungarian hospitals are old and very small. If the hospital says they are not putting the baby's cot beside the bed, they could get a temporary permit. And, all hospitals that have received permission before 2003 must apply individually to maintain roaming if they do not meet the legal requirements. Because they have to overcome their deficiencies sooner or later. An example of a lack of space is a reduction in the number of beds. And there have been no maintenance problems in this area so far, as it is regrettable that fewer and fewer children are born in Hungary.

Response from the Ministry of Health

The Health July, 1997 CLIV. Article 11 (5) of the Chapter on Relationship Law states that "a parent has the right to have her or his adult child undergoing and continuously Your or your newborn's health does not rule it out - place your newborn in the same place. " The minimum conditions are set out in Act 60/2003. (X. 20.) ESZSM, these are appropriate according to our professional position. If a particular hospital is unable to meet these conditions, it may not operate a rooming-in type of Neutral or obtain a temporary operating permit, provided that it meets the criteria by a specified date. Hospitals have decided to tailor the conditions to most local needs and needs.
The ministry and the practitioners have set common minimum requirements for a room-in-class New Year's Eve class, which they do not want to deviate from in the future. Apart from a few exceptions, the newborn and the mother are assured of the newborn classes in Hungary, and of course we are well aware that not all conditions are comfortable with comfort levels. The WHO and the UNICEF National Commission on Breastfeeding, established in March 2005 to assist in the implementation of the Babysitting of Health Program, aim to facilitate the implementation of this initiative.
The National Infant Health Program has been designed to help babies and children to be healthier and to accomplish related short-term tasks more effectively. One of the programme's key objectives is the Baby-Friendly House Initiative, which we wish to strengthen to improve the conditions of care for newborn women and to place them in the newborn. "
Requests remain the same. Because no one is convinced that it is better to be in a large, modernly furnished room with the baby, but if the only possibility is that if there is no appropriate space, then the mother and child should not be separated. jуl.
