Of course, being a parent can be stressful, but it turns out that people who have children are generally happier with no children.

Two new studies have now targeted earlier research that parents are depressed and less happy than those who have no children. The researchers also looked at the level of happiness, before and after the birth of their parents. Professionals have found that the parents' level of earning is not worse after they have children. The study found that parents were much happier when they found out that they would have children, and in the first year of having a baby, the second study found around 120,000 adults between 1972 and 2008. This study found that although parents were more anxious than childless adults between 1985 and 2008, parents were happier between 1995 and 2008. All this without losing the happiness of non-parents! Do you think parents are happier nowadays? (Via)
